  • Es Baluard Museu d’Art Modern i Contemporani de Palma

Located in the Port de Santa Catalina square, this contemporary art museum will surprise you with its bright rooms, where you can enjoy its more than 700 pieces of art from different artistic periods: from the 19th century to the present.   • CaixaForum Gran Hotel

The building, designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, is one of the best examples of modernist architecture in the Balearic city. It currently has five floors and each of them houses exhibitions on different themes: from the most contemporary to the most classic. Without a doubt, CaixaForum is one of the most touristic spots in the city.

  • Museo Pilar & Joan Miró

The museum was the place where the artist Joan Miró lived and worked for years. Located in Cala Major, it has more than 7,000 works of art by Miró and his contemporary counterparts in various rooms of the museum.

  • Castell de Bellver

This castle built in the 14th century has an impressive panoramic view of the entire bay of Palma. In addition, the castle is also the Museum of the History of Palma and has two permanent exhibitions: one of classic sculptures and the other dedicated to Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos.   • Museo Fundació Joan March

The museum has a permanent collection of 20th century Spanish artists with more than 70 works and 52 artists represented. You can also find paintings and sculptures by Picasso, Miró and Salvador Dalí and other temporary exhibitions by national and contemporary artists.

  • Castell Museu de Sant Carles

This is the main museum of military history in the city since in its ten rooms you can find historical documents, uniforms and military artifacts. The building also has wonderful views of the port and the bay of Palma.

  • Museu Diocesà de Mallorca

Free museums in Palma

In Palma de Mallorca you can access several museums in the city completely free of charge. Thus, the Fundació Miró Mallorca offers free access on Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and during the first Sunday of each month, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

You can visit the Portopí Lighthouse for free on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In Casal Solleric you can have free access from Monday to Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. On Sundays, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. it is also free.
